Welcome to 2020 at The Catholic University of America, a year of incredible challenges that have exposed our community's fortitude, resilience, and generosity.
Six months after publicly launching the University's first-ever comprehensive campaign, Catholic University closed residence halls and moved classes online to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our community came together to support students who faced financial hardship due to the loss of jobs, family health problems, or displacement.
In this hour-long special, we shared how Catholic University was navigating this singular moment in its 133-year history. About the webcast
This was an event unlike any we've hosted before, created for a time unlike any we'd ever experienced.
This special online event was hosted by Rosanna Scotto, B.F.A. 1980, co-anchor of WNYW Fox5's Good Day New York. Hear directly from some of the University members at the center of this moment: students who have been affected, University officials who have made the hard decisions, and parents and alumni who have supported fellow Cardinals.
Also, the evening featured the follow-up to our Light the Way video and performances by students and Broadway-performing alumni.
But this event was about more than what the University has been through. It was also about what we're moving toward.
