On June 15, Catholic University welcomed Chris Johnson as the new Executive Director of Alumni Engagement.

Chris brings more than a decade of alumni relations experience to our team. He spent the past five years with the University of Maryland Alumni Association. He started as the director of regional programming, overseeing eight local alumni networks. For the last three years, Chris served as the director and senior director of campus relations, leading a team responsible for marketing and communications, professional networking and career development, and student and recent graduate programs. In that role, he managed the fundraising efforts for the UMD Alumni Association, developed cross-campus collaboration with alumni relations professionals, and provided support to 11 academic alumni networks. Chris also previously worked at Loyola University Maryland, his alma mater, where he led its regional alumni relations programs, worked with reunion programs, and launched Loyola’s professional networking series.

Under the oversight of the Office of Constituent Engagement, Chris will work with our Advancement Communications, Reunion Giving, Events, and Annual Giving teams to create the best possible experience for our alumni. He will work closely with the University community to engage alumni, parents, and friends and to increase participation in order to broaden and deepen the lifelong relationships our constituents have with the University.
