Innovation. Empowerment. Creativity. Ethics.

Those are just a few markers of the VentureLab@CatholicU, a catalyst for mission-driven leadership.

Housed within the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at the Busch School of Business, this program is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs who have a passion for impact. VentureLab equips students with the skills, mentorship, and real-world experience to transform bold ideas into businesses that serve both people and society.

Program Highlights

During the semester-long course (VentureLab 455/555), students develop their own business idea from concept to launch through proven innovation frameworks applied directly to their venture. A blend of hands-on team challenges, real-time feedback from faculty and business founders, and a capstone pitch to potential investors give students both the theoretical foundation and active experience needed to start a successful business—and more than 75 of them have.

Mentorship

Students benefit from a community of Catholic University alumni, industry leaders, and friends. This network helps VentureLab participants build meaningful connections as they launch their careers, while personalized coaching supports them throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

Impact

The VentureLab advances the Busch School’s mission of using business as a force for good. By serving as a launchpad for principled ventures with social and economic impact, the VentureLab instills leadership, problem-solving, and business acumen in the next generation of professionals and builds a community of values-driven entrepreneurs.
