On Friday, September 20, Matt Hilleary, B.C.E. 2003, was formally inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame during Cardinal Weekend 2024.

About Matt Hilleary

A key member of the 2001 men’s basketball national championship team, Matt Hilleary graduated from Catholic University in 2003 with a number of accolades. He garnered All-American honors from both the National Association of Basketball Coaches and D3hoops.com in 2002 and 2003 and was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year in both seasons. Hilleary is ranked 11th all-time in scoring at Catholic University with 1,622 points, while ranking in the top five in rebounds (852) and blocks (273). A three-time, all-conference selection, he was also chosen to the NCAA Division III Final Four All-Tournament Team. Hilleary and the Class of 2003 achieved the most wins in a four-year span in program history.
