Dear Friends and Supporters of The Catholic University of America,

There is something quietly remarkable about the community that surrounds The Catholic University of America. Bound not by institutional pride alone, it is distinguished by the conviction that education at the service of truth and faith will transform lives, the nation, and ultimately our world. You are part of this extraordinary Cardinal community.

In 2025, you expressed your commitment and generosity for the University in a historic way. Together, we raised $82 million, breaking the University’s all-time fundraising record — a statement of belief in our students, our mission, and the distinctive education we offer.

As supporters of the University, your generosity not only transforms the lives of our students, but creates a lasting impact in communities that lie far beyond our campus grounds.

Through your partnership, scholarships that provide access to a Catholic University education also address critical workforce challenges — by educating nurses to meet rising healthcare needs; developing essential skills of students within the Tucson, Arizona, community; and forming the next generation of pastors in the Basselin Scholars Program. A donor-driven innovation fund is bringing academic discoveries to the marketplace and equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs to lead with integrity. Additionally, increased support from foundations and corporations is amplifying our research mission, enabling dedicated faculty and students to solve pressing problems for our society, while signaling growing confidence in the value of a Catholic University education.

Meanwhile on campus, generous benefactors have been renovating shared spaces with a renewed sense of beauty and purpose. The recent opening of a 24-hour adoration chapel and new specialized libraries are among the many manifestations of your support.

Last year’s record-breaking 2025 Athletics Challenge, driven in large part by former student-athletes and parents, fortified the experience of our student-athletes across all 25 varsity sports. During fiscal years 2024-2026, baseball and softball alumni and parents came together to fund the completion of the Diamond Project, with new turf, upgraded lighting, and renovated facilities for our baseball and softball programs. These investments showcase the pride of our studentathlete community and the University’s enduring commitment to forming the whole human person — mind, body, and spirit.

The Catholic University of America is moving forward with momentum, creating positive change for our students, our families, and our community, and it is doing so because of you. On behalf of our students and faculty — who are the most direct and grateful recipients of your generosity — thank you. We are honored to have you as part of this mission.

Sincerely,

Scott Rembold
