We thank our alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, and students for giving back to the Catholic University community. On Giving Tuesday 2021, 189 donors contributed more than $75,000 to student scholarships at The Catholic University of America. These generous donors have opened the University's doors to even more young people, including those high schoolers who are anxiously awaiting their letters of acceptance and financial aid packets with scholarship awards.
Admitted students are three times as likely to enroll at Catholic University when they receive a donor-funded scholarship. Because of the outpouring of support we received on the global day of giving, more students will be able to realize their dreams at Catholic University.
Thank you for your investment in our community and the lives of young scholars.

“I primarily chose Catholic because of its location and family environment alongside the financial aid package offered to me. Prior to starting college, I had an image of college professors being cold, distant, and stern. Profesora Gutierrez — my Spanish 101 and 102 professor — helped shatter that illusion for me, as she was very warm and jovial every time I entered her classroom. She made an effort to accommodate her lesson plans to each student, and also took the time to get to know us as well.”
“I’ve never felt confined at Catholic University, and I use my gifts and talents to lead and serve in the community. I’m a resident assistant, giving me the opportunity to walk with first-year students as they transition into college and find their places. I am a captain on the cross country and track and field teams. And, for my favorite class, I was able to visit the Supreme Court and spend the day with a justice. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me by virtue of your incredible scholarship gift.”
“The quality of the professors, clinical instructors, and classes at Catholic University made me realize the beauty of the nursing profession and the noble people in it. Catholic University changed my life by inspiring me to become a better person and student, and to strive to be the best nurse I could be in the future. I thank my scholarship donor for helping me find my home, both at CatholicU and in the profession of nursing.”
“I fell in love with D.C. a long time ago and knew I would be brought here for something. Little did I know I would be at Catholic University, making myself and my family proud of me. With the help of various donors, I have been able to maintain my tuition and will be on time for graduation.”
