The Office of Alumni Engagement is hosting a one-day career conference on Friday, November 3 which will explore the ways in which careers in nearly every sector – finance, education, healthcare, engineering, and more – will be impacted by both the positive and negative effects of the widespread adaptation of A.I. technologies.
With the popularization and continual evolution of A.I.-powered tools, the landscape of the workforce is changing rapidly. ChatGPT and other A.I. bots are reshaping the way that knowledge workers can build new programs, brainstorm ideas, and communicate with audiences.
This event will provide you the opportunity to learn, engage, and reskill for the changing professional landscape. Leaders in A.I. will head keynotes and breakout sessions focused on specific industries.
The conference will explore topics such as:
- How is A.I. changing work now?
- How can workers become “A.I. ready”?
- How will the knowledge workforce change with widespread adoption of A.I. technologies?
- What ethical considerations should be taken into account as A.I. becomes more integrated into the workplace, and how can we ensure that these systems are fair and just for all workers?
- How can organizations create inclusive and equitable A.I. systems that consider the diverse needs and perspectives of workers from different backgrounds?
- How can we use A.I. to augment human work and improve productivity, rather than replacing human workers altogether?
