On Wednesday, January 18, we were joined by Dr. Robert Townsend, B.A. 1988, M.A. 1990, as part of the Lunch and Learn Series. Townsend discussed his career in serving academic industry associations and the current state of the humanities in higher education. 

 

 

About Robert Townsend, B.A. 1988, M.A. 1990

Robert is a two-time graduate of The Catholic University of America. He currently works at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and oversees the humanities, arts, and culture programs. He is also a published author with a multitude of articles and the book, History's Babel: Scholarship, Professionalization and the Historical Enterprise, 1880–1940.
