Bill and Joanne Conway pledge additional $20M to CatholicU nursing students

When Catholic University Trustee Bill Conway addressed the hundreds of donors and scholarship students gathered at the University’s annual Scholarship Dinner event in December 2017 during his keynote, he said “If you get sick, I guarantee you want a competent and compassionate Catholic University nurse to take care of you.”

Monsignor John Wippel, B.A. 1955, M.A. 1956, S.T.L. 1960, the Theodore Basselin Professor of Philosophy, has spent many years at Catholic University as a student, professor, and administrator. Through a planned gift he will continue to contribute to the success of the University and its School of Philosophy for many years to come.

This year, the National Catholic School of Social Service (NCSSS) celebrates a milestone — the 100th anniversary of its founding. Over the course of the last century, NCSSS has endeavored to serve others by preserving human dignity, seeking justice for all people by meeting them where they are, and preparing students to change the world.
