Anna Mohler, B.A. 2017, shares a best-kept secret

Young alumna gives back to Catholic University

Anna Mohler, B.A. 2017, fondly remembers the opportunities that she was given at The Catholic University of America.

Now a second-grade teacher in Virginia, Mohler majored in elementary education and minored in theology, areas of study she feels prepared her well for both her career and life. 

Mohler is especially grateful to Catholic University for offering her so many opportunities to explore the Washington, D.C. area through activities and events sponsored by Campus Ministry, the Office of Campus Activities, and the Office of Residence Life.

“They held events in the city to help students get off campus and learn to navigate their way around the nation’s capital. Academic field assignments were frequently in the city, too,” she said, adding she was also grateful for the University’s emphasis on service. 

Mohler, who as a student regularly attended praise and worship adoration services on Wednesdays, also made lifelong friends while at Catholic University.

“Classmates, roommates, friends, and professors — shout-out to Dr. Cave! — made all the difference from week one,” she added. 

Because she had such a positive experience at the University, Mohler was inspired to give back. She started supporting Catholic University her senior year, and has made a gift every year since, which qualifies her to join the Loyalty Society, a group of  alumni who have made a gift for two or more consecutive years. 

Mohler is excited to see the University continue to grow as an institution that educates and changes lives.

“Catholic University prepared me for my career, but even more than that, it helped shape who I am. The friendships, mentoring, and the overall faith-filled experiences have impacted me as an undergraduate and ever since. I hope more Cardinals can share in that experience.”
