Lucy Lee Lucy currently leads Akin’s international tax practice for global family offices and global private clients. She is a retired partner of the firm.

Lucy has been in practice for over 23 years as a partner of the largest international law firms and a Big Four accounting firm, as well as an executive of the General Electric Company. More recently, Lucy served as the CEO of a technology company providing sustainable solutions to the paper and pulp industry and also as the CEO of a global family office with $3 Billion AUM. As a trusted advisor to businesses and entrepreneurs, Lucy has served on the advisory board of various companies, including a U.S.-based software company for trusts and estates practitioners and an international company providing EWG Verified baby and maternal personal care products.

In addition to her legal practice, Lucy is a partner of New Providence Pictures, a media company committed to redefining heroism for the modern era through iconic stories from the Asian American diaspora. New Providence seeks to showcase the richness of human diversity and inspire audiences from everywhere to embrace their own unique identities while celebrating others. Lucy also serves on the board of the Korean American Bar Association of Greater Washington and the steering committee of the Korean American Community Foundation in DC.

Lucy believes her most important role is being the mother of her two children. Her son is a college football player who inspires her with his endless work ethic and commitment to faith. Her daughter is a high school athlete who brings light to every situation and motivates her to be kind and loving. Together with her children, Lucy supports local charities and mentors other students and student-athletes.
