- Elizabeth Montagnino, Class of 2019, works in the Vitreous State Laboratory, using a diamond blade saw to prepare samples of glass slices that simulate those used in 19th century daguerreotypes. The samples were then artificially aged to simulate the effects the glasses would experience from atmospheric water.
